Elko High School is a very tight knit community. It is a small school where everyone knows everyone. The athletic opportunities are incredible.

The high school is definitely great. I'm going to graduate in 2023 and so far, it's been good. I think it could do better in diverse classes. But with what they have it's a good school.

It's been okay. I really liked this year after being able to come back from covid. I think the precautions the school is putting in place next year is excessive. They refuse to acknowledge the real issues in our school, like the kids vaping in the bathroom on the floor at lunch, and instead focus on mundane things. They want to stop phone usage, eating and drinking in class and lock every door after the tardy bell rings. I understand they want to minimize tardies but I think locking them out will just encourage students to not come at all if they're late. The phones I can understand but the eating and drinking is also obnoxious. I eat a protein bar every day in my second class because if I don't my blood sugar gets low. I can't eat it before school without feeling nauseous. I love my school but I wish they would put more energy into things that matter rather than these silly things.

Their lunch portions are small. They are very strict they make students put their phone away and take attendance by how many kids have phones in the holder on the wall. EHS has more diversity than the neighboring high school in Spring Creek. It is a school with solid teachers who have a lot of experience. Elko High School is a failure making machine with very few good teachers. Most teachers belittle students yell in class and give very little instruction. The only kids who do well, would do well no matter what the circumstances. I wish that someone would come and find out exactly how bad this school...
