The teachers are generally nice and supportive. However, some are very unprepared with their teaching methods and could use some work. There's also a handful of teachers that you can obviosuly tell don't care about the wellbeing of students. The lunch food sucks but that's expected for all of Howard County. There are many classes offered, however it's not guaranteed that you will get the classes you want.

The best part of my experience at Howard High School was the people, the clubs, and the teachers. They all helped me to find my place at Howard as well as further my educational prowess. The worst part about Howard was the actual school and the safety of the school itself. Our school had multiple incidents happen that made the school and the surrounding area feel so unsafe. But other than those factors, I had a great time at Howard, and I loved almost every single moment of it.

It is truly a privilege to be able to say I'm graduating from one of the most diverse, most zealous high schools in the entire country. Howard was founded to create a better foundation for success and it has done so by giving me the platform to start my own clubs, and the pride to scream at the top of my lungs at every pep rally.

Am currently attending HOHS. Absolutely fantastic school! Options for APs and advanced rigor are plentiful here, along with great athletic programs. Would never regret attending!

The academics at this school are good compared to other schools in the county but I have been called racial slurs multiple times at my time at Howard High School. Being black at howard is hard either the teachers or the students are ignorant. There may not be any fights but the discrimination at thi...

It’s pretty cool! I enjoy going here and participating in sports and other activities. It’s really crowded, but not to the point of discomfort. Teachers are chill and overall good at their jobs.
