While for the most part, Elmwood High School does well in preparing students for future after graduation. The school and surrounding area are a safe and comfortable environment, but because it is such a small school/town, there is a lack of diversity and attempts at modernization can be clumsily executed.

During my very short time at Elmwood, I felt very safe and comfortable. Both students and teachers were very generous and welcoming. Changing schools and being the new kid can be rough, but Elmwood made the experience easy and pleasing.

I loved how everyone, no matter who they were, were involved in an activity after school. With students being busy with activities that lowered the bad behaviors and people being picked on. I also loved how the teachers did an amazing job getting students ready for the real world.

Teachers are willing to spend extra time helping students. Athletic programs are top-notch. The music program is very good (chorus and band). Technology is readily available to students.
