The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I enjoyed high school, I feel as if the school needs to prepare kids for the future. We need to know what to expect when going off to college or going into the work force. Not just teach us the books but actual life lessons. Communications between parents and students need to be improved.

Western Alamance High School is a great high school with many different opportunities and experiences to be ready for college. The teachers and staff are really nice and caring towards students. But on the other hand, the students that go to this school are very rude to teachers and other students. This makes people want to leave and can also make teachers want to quit. I would like to see change in other students behavior toward teachers and their classmates.

My experiences at Western Alamance High School have been quite satisfactory. I found the curriculum informative, decisive, yet simple and effective in its teaching. I would give it an almost perfect 4 out of 5 while i do believe it was quite effective there was still some issues so not quite perfect.
Absolutely Horrid school.Very unsafe, Fights, A stabbing, multiple guns at school, bomb threats, and a car crashes in the parking lot have all occurred during my time here.Witnessed Administration mock disabled students in wheelchairs.Teachers either don't care or will try to sexually assaults you.S...

They are taught to disobey their parents while ppl in the front office, named Crystal, said her last name one of the three, but she wasn’t telling me. Which shows they are hiding behind their actions. It’s very...
10 years ago - a very good school. Parents would relocate to western Alamance County so their children could attend WAHS. Sadly, over the past 5 years or so, the school has lost its way.
