GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I think the school is great the way it is and doesn't need to change. Located in the middle of corn fields so I love the location, and there isn't many arguments between the students because we all come from similar backgrounds.

My time at Ovid-Elsie High School has been a good experience with some negatives, though. In my opinion, I feel we all have a certain group we hang out in because of the typical stereotypes like the popular people, the people who are smart or "nerdy" and others. I also think that some sports play favorites with people they know, or they know their families. The good part of my experience includes having teachers caring about us and our grades. They do their best to help us achieve the grades we want and if we need the help they get us to where we need to be.

I like how everyone at Ovid-Elsie is very inviting and friendly to anyone. I also like that students have a lot of options for elective classes; however, I would like to see more Advanced Placement and college courses available.
