Established by the Sisters of Loretto, St. Mary’s Academy is a Catholic, co-ed pre-K through eighth grade and all-girls high school in the Cherry Hills Village neighborhood. Since its beginning, the school has been guided by the Loretto School values of faith, community, justice and respect. St. Mary’s is committed to a curriculum of science, technology, religion, engineering, arts and math (STREAM), integrating rigorous academics with service learning. The campus sits on 24 acres and includes lower, middle and high school buildings, sports and community centers, synthetic turf and other athletic fields and playgrounds. The small student body allows most students to participate in school athletics, and Catholic Mass is celebrated monthly. Sustainability is prioritized across campus with geothermal design, solar panels and efficient water consumption, including drought-resistant native plants eliminating the need to irrigate. Prominent St. Mary’s alums include former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Milagros Barsallo, co-founder of RISE Colorado.

I'm having the best time participating on the sports teams at SMA. Athletics are a huge part of the culture and fostering a positive social and learning environment. The school does a great job making everyone feel welcome on the sports teams and it's a great way to meet new people. Coaches are wonderful as well.

St. Mary's Academy has been a wonderful place for our daughter to land for high school. She has found a community with kind and compassionate students, attentive and rigorous teachers, and a program of study where she is challenged.

When I first came to St. Mary's, I immediately felt a sense of community. It was a place where I could be myself, and still fit in. I knew I wanted to be involved in every opportunity thrown my way, and that is what I did. Never before have I been in a school where I have felt that students have a say in what changes are made. St. Mary's is a place where students can grow and become independent and knowledgeable about the world. I can not imagine attending any other school.
