GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I love attending Evanston High School. It is a very safe school, and many of the kids are friends with the school resource officers. The staff are all really helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend going here. The only real issue I've had is with the other students, but that has nothing to do with the great school.

Evanston High School is to be like any other small town high school. Offered sports and activities for students to join in on so the community is pretty social, but it has a specific standard for you to get benefits from it. Some teachers are trying to get the students ready for college, but it's not enough for actual college readiness when it comes to education and actual tips to apply towards it. Community can be great, but can also be not as inclusive due to the lack of diversity in students.

This school has started to develop a much better culture: when sports and such have successes, everyone has a reason to celebrate. I think the teachers are really good at building relationships with their students and caring about them both in and out of school. I think we could keep improving culture, though we have come a long ways.
