GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The teachers were for the most part excellent at their jobs and excelled at forcing even troublesome students to take an interest in learning. However, the lack of funding holds back most of the extracurricular activities, and it even seeps into the classroom, forcing teachers to avoid doing certain projects that might help students in favor of saving the money for other assignments.

the students at my school are very kind...at first. the only bad type of person you will meet is a toxic person. those type of people are manipulators, and there are a notable amount in my school. I don't know of anyone who doesn't at least have two friends. There are teachers who have no respect for students, no matter how they act. For example, I had a disagreement with a teacher once and asked if I could go to the guidance office and try to use them as a tool to solve it. I was granted permission. because the teacher was angry with me, he claimed I stormed out. I told this to the vice principle who said he would investigate, didn't follow through, and then sided with the teacher. Another example is when a friend of mine was speaking with her boyfriend in front of a teacher's door. this teacher did not particularly like my friend. she claimed the two were locking lips and both of them got detention. though many teachers do things like this, there are some kind, phenomenal educators that partially make up for it.

many of the teachers at my school, most notably the math teachers, are intelligent. That being said, they are not good at communicating their understandings to the students. some teachers are very kind, considerate, and helpful. some are very cruel, apathetic, and are not helpful at all. Most teachers, though, are knowledgeable and have an aptitude within their subjects, but have difficulty with teaching to students as well as comprehending or relating to them in any way possible. They are not cruel, for the most part, but they do have difficulty communicating.

I am a previous student. I had an A-B average until ninth grade. I came across an algebra teacher whose teaching techniques did not work well with my learning style. I requested another class. I was denied. I fell behind in my classes and graduated late. I graduated by taking a college algebra cours...
