GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience at Langston Hughes highs school for the past 4 years have been pretty good but also crazy but not in such a bad way there has been many challenges though out the years but I've always found a way to successfully complete the challenge but I will say I've had so many great memories academically and outside of school like memories with my cheer team now that im a senior I realize I can overcome any challenges if I've gotten through these 4 years

Langston Hughes is not a bad highschool but there are a plethora of things to be improved, due to the fact that the school is a title I it is definitely slacking in multiple areas but thr classes are taught well, the main problem is the students never put in the effort to help improve the school and so it can be very stagnant at times.

This is a beautiful and very diverse school, I loved this school since the day I walked in from DC, it was a big difference but the staff and students were great and this school has great college preparation, I have Harvard looking at me right now and it is all thanks to this school

The administrators and teachers do all that they can to ensure the students excel. The teachers are responsive when needed.
