It's amazing I went their last year we had like 3 8th graders get college scholarships from a program the school was in and it's fun, But not the best place for safety

My experience has been horrible to say the least. The principal is non effective which filters throughout the immediate admin staff. Renaissance Middle School is an interesting place. I believe it has limited leadership and extreme behaviors from students which are not supported by the counseling staff. This school is awful, we had a lockdown the other day because there was a wepon in the school, and we still had school the next day and the teachers shrugged it off as it was nothing, they didn't even mention the fact that we could have died that day. I have a family member attending this school. I understand there is a lot of bullying and there are fights that are not being addressed. If I had a child attending Renaissance, I would definitely pull him/her out.
