The best parts of my experience was being able to get involved in so many different activities. From sports, to clubs, and other extracurriculars, there is a place for everyone at Woodson to feel welcomed. I was able to try out many different areas of interest and find what I really enjoyed.

Woodson has very good academic with a large course selection and many teachers. The teachers are mediocre at best however with some being lazy or meaner than others. The boys sports are atrociously bad though meaning there is less culture and spirit.

Going to Woodson as a high school student absolutely prepared me for the process of college applications and overall encouraged a strong academic energy amongst the student body. I felt pushed to pursue academics in a way that I don't think I would have at another school. I connected with many teachers who impacted me deeply and taught me enriching ideas that remain with me today. I also really enjoyed getting involved in the arts department which offered many opportunities both in terms of class selections and extracurriculars to exercise creativity and connect with other students in innovative and fulfilling ways. The arts department provided many tangible resources as well to encourage student involvement. For example, I remember one of my favorite classes was photography where we got to shoot on analog cameras and learned how to process/develop film as well as print photos in the darkroom. Printing photos in the darkroom was one of my most treasured high school experiences.

An excellent learning environment with teachers, guidance counselors and administrators who are engaged with their students on all levels and care about their success. All three of our kids had a great experience, both academically and socially. Lots of clubs and opportunities to volunteer and feel...
