Decatur High School is not a good school. The place is run down and falling apart. I do not feel safe going to school everyday. But the teachers there really care about the kids and want the best for them.

My experience at Decatur high school has been great, most teachers are nice, helpful and supportive. The only "issues" I've experienced is the lack of communication with counselors due to their hectic schedules. But the career and college specialist is so great with reaching out and educating kids on the opportunities outside of school that it makes up for the absences.

I move around a lot but when I was a junior I had to go to Decatur. Decatur is a terrible school teachers don't care and won't help you. It is also like a prison at Decatur it is ridiculous they put up baby gates to lock you into areas. but the worst part is that 50% of the students smoke and drink...
