GreatSchools Rating

Source: GreatSchools
GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My children are ahead academically of other students their age in other school districts. The teachers are great and my children look forward to going to school each morning. My children love the library, computer class and the fun dress up days. This school has a great family atmosphere and I'm glad I decided to send my children there.

Wilson is a really good school. I have attended since pre-K. There is not much diversity as we are a small county school. We have overall excellent teachers who sincerely care about their students. The one thing that I would change for sure is the food options. There are not many options available for those students that are "picky" eaters. Our principal is the absolute BEST ever. He truly loves all his students and it shows.

Major lack or diversity, few teachers communicate with parents when needed, lack of arts program, lack of foreign languages, only a few sports teams that don’t experience terrible season after terrible season... When you go up to the school you’ll notice the parents’ and students’ lack of motivation...

We need to be objectively honest here, instead of biased and one-sided. There were good experiences/memories here, but unfortunately, there was (and is) also favoritism by most of the staff, particularly toward those who are involved in athletics, certain clubs, and/or if one was an honor roll stude...
