I remember how the school spirit overall, declined each year I was enrolled at Flushing. It was rather disappointing seeing no one dress up for sprite week, or no one attend games. Even when we were offered a party bus for $5, it had to be canceled due to lack of participation. On a brighter note, Faculty does the best job ensuring that you are successful. For instance, the Flushing Early College Program is amazing and I feel very prepared for college. I wouldn't be where I am at without it.

The best part of flushing high school is the diversity of actives you can be involved in. There are so many different clubs that so many students have created. There are also many different classes you are able to take to learn about new experiences. The only thing Im not a fan about with this school is all of the hate the students give to each other. There are many arguments I hear all the time and sometimes even fights. I hope that the community overcomes this.

I had an overall good experience. I feel like the bullying could've been stopped more but overall; it was good. For the most part students and teachers were very nice creating a good school climate. Most of the teachers were pretty good and taught well. There were some I feel relied on the kids figuring it out their selves or they made the students feel like they couldn't ask questions but overall, it was pretty good. The school made me actually happy to go to school and I feel like it did the same for many other students. The staff and students always planned many activates for the students to involve in and never left anyone out. I don't think I really had any bad experiences except for when we went online for covid. For most students though, that messed up a lot of things for others as well. Even then though, the teachers did their best to help students understand and work through the coursework over the computers. I will always be thankful I was allowed to be a part of FHS Alumni.

This school does the bare minimum to protect students who are victims of bullying and racism. They would prefer it if the victim left the school as opposed to the actual problem so they don't have to deal with it. Even when presented with video footage of specific incidences, the problems continued....

So shirty that I moved schools. Montrose is where you'll actually be treated like a human being by both staff and students.
