GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The teachers are very helpful and available most of the time if you need help. It's a small school and most of us are like a big family. The atmosphere is relaxed but yet there is order in the school. The superintendent is very involved in the activities aat the school. The students know everyone enrolled at the school. The education is great. We may not have access to all the on line courses that high school honor students can take but overall the school is fitted for most every walk of life.

The High school English teacher has no college degree and is not a teacher. The Spanish/social studies teacher/ coach has failed the teacher exam 3x. These numbers are all old. Only 3 teachers in high school are actually teachers, and 1 is the ag teacher.

I graduated from this school and have a professional degree. I am glad to have the educators at this school guide my children in their education as well. I am happy with their experience at FISD so far.
