Given our rural location, it has been difficult to recruit and retain teachers. We have limited higher level course options and they are offered at only limited times, making it difficult to schedule classes.

Fort Fairfield Middle/High School is a small school in a rural Maine community. It's difficult to properly fund and staff all schools and those challenges are present here too. Overall, there are some great teachers, trying their best to educate students. Everything may not be the best but it's an alright school.

Please read!! This school is a disaster. The bullying policy is right out the window, Administration say they can do nothing about it and they will not change your classes. The teaching here in some classes such as English, Science, Art, and History are great. Lunch is bad most of the time. Tutoring is good. You are expected to have like 8 electives to graduate, which how can you do that if there is only like 2? If you are interested in sending your child here, please do not. Send them anywhere else than here.
