I transferred into Beechwood as a freshman and the students and teacher made it so much easier then I thought it would be the teachers where very excepting and made me feel welcome and wanted.

Best part - I made pretty good friends while I was there, did well academically, and participated in a well trained music program. Worst part - the school payed way more attention to sports team that were average in their league than they did to the music programs that were consistently ranked distinguished in the district and even state. I would like the school to be more of academic haven than a place to show of the money some of the parents hold.

Beechwood High School is a school with lots of pride and runs by three rules. Those being "we are respectful, we are resilient, and we are responsible." A school with overall high GPA, SAT, and ACT scores. Most of the people who attend Beechwood are rich and white meaning there is very little diversity and like any other school there are cliques. There is one police officer who works at the school to keep everyone safe, so in that sense there is safety, but as a person of color I don't feel welcomed or safe by some of the faculty, but there is one teacher who i'd say makes everyone feel welcomed and safe. As for the sports at the school they have won many state championships. Beechwood has all the basic sports to enroll in such as, basketball, football, baseball, and soccer. Lastly they have also won many awards in the music area.
