Lawnwood Elementary School, a part of the St. Lucie County School District, was honored with the Five Star and Golden School awards. To receive the Five Star School Award, educational institutions need to satisfy several criteria, including family involvement, volunteerism, and student community service. Meanwhile, the Golden School Award aims to recognize those schools that excel in promoting parent and community involvement in education through volunteerism. Lawnwood Elementary is also part of the 21st Century Community Learning Center Program, an after-school program that focuses on math, reading, writing, and science skills. Eligible students can attend the program at no cost and have the chance to develop skills and knowledge that will serve them for the rest of their lives. Both Rotary Park, with its state-of-the-art playground, and the Lawnwood Sports Complex, with its outstanding sporting facilities, are adjacent to the school. Lawnwood Elementary also boasts a multifunctional court where students of any age can play and enjoy themselves.

Just appalling... The St Lucie County school system is broken. So happy that I can work 2 jobs and send my child to private school.
