GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Fouke is a small school in a small town. Things get boring at times and there isn't a lot of diversity in the students or school activities. A lot of school funds are spent on sports leaving departments like art, drama, and music lacking. All of the departments are great, I just wish school funds would be more evenly distributed. Most of the teachers are very passionate about what they do though so that's a plus.

Fouke High School is an average, small town school. The education is definitely lacking in perspective to larger schools in Texarkana, but they have many dual credit courses offered. The teachers come from all over the area to teach at this school, and we have a very advanced Band program, and Theatre program. The counselors are very helpful, and I would not be where I am today without their help.

Although the school had helped prepare me in terms of subjects; I wish that it had done more. I would have greatly appreciated classes that would have helped me manage my time. As well as teaching me study skills and job application help. Although, the school has lightly touched on such subjects, it didn't provide me with a basic knowledge in these areas that I discovered on my own.

I graduated from Fouke High School in 2009 with 29 hours of transferable college credit. Josh Jones was the best english teacher I've ever had. His class was tough but it prepared me for college and that is appreciated. I also had great math and science teachers, but History was lacking a little. Ov...

My husband is a Fouke alum and is currently working on his post graduate degree. I didn't now grow up in Fouke, but love the school district and all the dedi...
