During my time at South Johnston High School, I was offered many different opportunities to join clubs, and pursue academic advancements. The one thing that I believe needed to be changed was the show of favoritism, and lack of assistance from the senior guidance counselor. Being a first generation college student, I had no idea how to navigate the application process to colleges or even to FAFSA.

I started at South Johnston in my sophomore year of high school. They have a lot of different clubs and activities that you can get involved in. All the teachers and administrators are very helpful. They have a lot of options for classes. They have amazing teachers and they help you when you are stuck. One of my favorite things that South offers is that you can take tutorials with your teachers so that they can help you with what you don't understand.

My school goes above and beyond. Mr. Price is by far the best principal I have ever had. he always makes the students feel welcomed and accepted. I love the POWER schedule and all the time we have to study and catch up on whatever we need to or just hang out with friends after all the work is done....
