The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I feel like Friend Public Schools has a lot to improve on. Friend Public Schools does little to nothing for student safely, often putting students in danger. The school constantly ignores problems, as does the administration. Speaking of the administration, they leave a lot to be desired, often engaging in childish drama.

I think that my school needs to focus on more important aspects of the "high school experience." This means that they need to take more focus and emphasis on the actual curriculum instead of the extra-curricular activities that the school provides. For a school our size, I think we offer too many extracurriculars and therefore a small amount of kids feel like they have to participate or else it will be cut. This in turn leads to stress and lower academic performance. On the other hand, I think my teachers are very inspirational people and I look up to them greatly. I know that if I ever have a problem, I don't have to look far to find help.
