Overall Independence HS is a great community of people. All the students are kind and unified. The academics and opportunities are phenomenal. I would say that the only flaw is that when students go to the administration with concerns they don't take the correct actions if any at all.

The best part of going to Independence High School is how our facilities and school grounds are always nice. We never have to worry about spoiled food or dirty bathrooms. However, I would say the school has a problem keeping teachers and promoting less drug use in this school because a lot of students partake in taking illicit substances.

The best parts are that the teachers create an environment where we can have fun and learn through games and activities. The worst part is that the teachers brush over topics and don't teach them as in depth as you'd expect and spend more time on games than actual teaching and material. I'd like to see this change because it's troubling for an already busy student to come for tutorials to cover simple topics.

My experience at this school right now feels like hell, other peers want you to fail while the teacher has put hands on a student in 2024. little to no effort put into the classes, and tons of homework, very self centered classes and the counselors do a great deal of making you feel left out. althou...
