As someone who graduated on June 2024, it not the most perfect school but it have it pros and cons.

My overall experience with this school is good. I have made connections with many people. The teachers also made an effort to make a connection. It was even heartbreaking to have one of the teachers pass away. A good thing about this school is that they offer multiple ways and opportunities so the kids can get to where they wanna be in life.

I heard a student was beaten unconscious in their gymnasium by another student in 2019. Apparently, the victim was minding his own business in gym class when an older boy approached him from behind and punched him in the back of the head so hard he collapsed. That boy still suffers from neurophysical changes and the administration won't discuss the event with us, or even confirm whether charges are filed with the police for this savage beating of my son.

I am a parent of a westside student I moved here from a different school system.I attented Roosevelt High school .The Gary Cholo system is horrible. That is all That can be said about it.

I am a parent of children who did not originally attend school within the Gary school system. However I grew up in the area and when my family fell on hard times we ended up back in the area. I knew when my children started the system that the schools educational system was substandard. I apologize...

If parents aren't involved, what can we do to assist the school with getting the deadbeat parents involved. A school is what parents make it. If no involvement...
