Georgetown High School in itself provided an organized and comfortable atmosphere. The admin heart is seen in a good place when making decision to help better the students. They are constantly trying to make the school a better place for both students and teachers. One downside is the culture students have created within the school. It can be very selective and uncomfortable within the student population resulting in a rough friend environment.

As a student who attended GHS for 4 years, my experience has been an overall positive. While some of the college readiness programs and assistance were lacking or under-advertised, I really appreciated the personal connection a lot of the teachers and faculty try to maintain with their students. I always felt like they hoped I would succeed, never feeling like someone was wanting to tear me down.

We moved to the GISD school district when our kids were in 3rd and 8th grade. Moving was hard for them, but the support they received from the schools here was priceless, first at Benold Middle School and McCoy Elementary, and then continuing every year as both girls attended Georgetown High School....
