My child is in Math/Sci magnet program. Math, comp. sci, science are magnet level. World studies and foreign language instruction are on very high level as well. English suffers from MCPS curriculum and an inadequately differentiated classroom. Many afterschool clubs and opportunities for all students to participate in and outside the school. Administration is responsive. I am happy with this school.

The teachers here are overall good, I have however had bad experiences with a few teachers here who did not seem really engaged in what they were teaching. There were also times when they made themselves seem like college professors and make it difficult to speak with them or allow for flexibility because they thought that they were higher level teachers than what they really were.

This school is pretty bad. School counselors don't do anything remotely close to stopping fights or threats and hate students that literally do nothing. The DMV trappers and bad kids are all friends with the counselors, and that continues and enables their behavior. Fights happen every few weeks and...
