GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It's a really great school, all the teachers want us to succeed at life after high school. The principal and school board do a great job too.

Gladewater High School taught me how to recognize and value everyone's skills. I Jessica Paredes just graduated Friday,May 27,2022 and I definitely can speak for all my classmates that Gladewater High School is home for us. My years in Gladewater have been incredibly and I will definitely miss it.

My experience about Gladewater High School is that it gives families who don't have much money to give there children who are different a chance to have a education whether those kids are slow or have a disability. The reason. For example, when I came to Gladewater I had known that I had reading disabilities but I was given the help I needed to be successful in life. Now my reading comprehension has never been better; also my ADHD severe has made a lot of things worse for me during my school years but thanks to Gladewater I got what I have always needed and that was for someone to take certain classes slower than normal for me and let me take tests, projects, quizzes, etc. outside the classrooms.

Gladewater High School has dedicated teachers who care about their students. They work hard to get the students to understand the subject areas that they teach and to pass the state tests. The scores of these tests have risen the last few years and have placed Gladewater in "Recognized" status. The...

The athletics department is alright, though use to be much better. There is many fights in the school. Use to have some of the worst test scores in the area, but I think it's getting a bit better. Still, if you have a choice, or are browsing for a school to attend, you would be much better off submi...
