Opened in 2001, Deer Valley Academy is located in Phoenix, Arizona, and is a part of the group of Deer Valley Charter Schools. Serving students in ninth through 12th grade, Deer Valley Academy has an enrolled population of about 20 students.
The school’s mission is to “provide a quality education in a safe and rigorous academic environment for high school students attending full time, participating in credit recovery or advancing their program of study.”

Deer Valley Academy offers an education that is different from traditional school structures. The school is open from Monday through Thursday, as opposed to the usual Monday through Friday. Additionally, the school offers courses available throughout the day, allowing students to choose a schedule that meets their needs and those of their families.
The school prepares its students for future work opportunities by providing students with interview experience. The school invites business owners and field experts to an event where students practice their skills and create connections.
Along with academic and career opportunities, Deer Valley hosts unique events and experiences, such as its 1920s day where students and staff dressed in costumes of the era. Students are also encouraged to learn about different cultural traditions from classmates.

Excellent school, and caring staff with good communication. My son really enjoys being a student at Deer Valley Academy. The evening hours M-Th, and accelerated classes work well, and offer a wonderful alternative to the traditional school system.
