GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

it is a decent school although i wish there were more options with the math programs. I also wish there was more funding for the school because of the facilities. this includes not having enough parking spots for all of the students and the bathrooms being in poor condition all the time. but i think the academics are better than the rest of the valley, as well as the sports.

As a student who transferred to Glenwood Springs High School in the midst of the pandemic, my experience was above the one I had received at my previous high school. The staff were all incredibly welcoming, along with the student body as a whole. It was so easy to meet new people and join new clubs to heighten my experience at the school. The teachers were eager to elevate your education and they were all approachable outside the hours of the class.

Some very good teachers. Good activities and opportunities to explore interests. Other teachers are not as interested as they could be in their job. Offers many advanced courses and provides decent test preparation. There is a significant teacher turnover so sometimes inexperience is an issue. There are a good amount of teachers who truly are passionate about their profession and being involved in the students development.

Great learninig, patient teachers, nice yet strict. I went there last year but moved to Coal Ridge High school this year. There is a huge difference in the learning enviornment... the teachers do not make you feel stupid as some may make you feel here.
