The diversity here is terrible. The administration does nothing to protect its marginalized students. This high school is great for anyone interested in the trades, but not if you want to go to college. The college prep and guidance here is not helpful. This school fosters a toxic culture between students. Would not recommend.

What I like about Glide is the personal relationships with the staff and students. Since it's a small school, everyone knows each other, which makes it easier to ask for help. What I don't like is how little we get for college. We don't get offered AP classes, and even though we get the opportunity to take Dual Credit classes with our local college, our guidance counselor (who's job it is to help us) leaves us in the dust and expects us to sign up for scholarships, colleges, and classes on our own without information on how to do so.

I liked that we had such small classes that allowed us good one on one time with the teachers if we were struggling or missing classes because extracurricular activities. You got to know your classmates and other younger and upper classes pretty well. The teachers know who you are and are always willing to help.

Bullying at Glide was extreme. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

we just moved here from Ohio almost 9 months ago and i can truly say that the schools back east are far more better at the parent teacher involvement

Being a student at this school was not a pleasant experience. Although parents may be present and aware of the bullying that goes on, they don't do anything about it. The teachers let the students walk all over them, the principle isn't strict enough and the kids are the most disrespectful you'll fi...
