It's a big school, it is a fairly good school. the food is nasty but lots of teachers are helpful and supportive of the students. Once you reach about junior year counselors really start pushing colleges, and if that's not what you want they won't really support any other decision (for example, trade school, military or working straight out of high school). Parking passes are really expensive and it's a lottery, so if you don't get one you have to find another place to park which is very difficult for most students since there are few places to park because the city of golden tickets everyday.

Great teachers, but lots of cliques. Would like to see more options for math classes, and additional resources for students with mental health challenges.

Golden High School does a very good job providing opportunities for students to take a rigorous course load to help prepare them for college. But it is very sheltered in the Golden bubble and does not have a very diverse student body for students to learn different perspectives on the world.

They don't exclude anyone and are supportive of everyone, checking in with some that need it more than others. They really did a good job at makin...

Golden High School is really good school for my daughter. You have to put in the work. If the expectation is to be constantly given handouts rather than working for your success, then this school is probably not for you. Academics overall seem pretty solid comparatively at the state level. Probably...
