GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

As I senior who spent all 4 years at Eastern Wayne High school I had my ups and downs but it isn't as bad as people make it seem. Most of the teachers are pretty nice and are great at their Job. The only problem are the students. I would give EWHS a 8/10.

This school overall does enough to get their students an education. The sports team consist of friendly individuals and supportive coaches. The clubs here operate as they state they will and are mostly active in their visions. My problem does lie with the executive decisions of the school. We've had multiple threats this school and year that left parents very nerved and the schools response was not very proactive. Though I don't have many classes here and it is my only year here, I do worry for my sister's safety while she continues to attend here. Certain students also serve as a nuisance to the learning environment. I hope the school continues to listen to it's students and their parents as the years go by.

The Guidance Counselors and most teachers are very helpful. It is a friendly atmosphere at the school. Plenty of ways to be involved in the school.

It’s a school that is struggling to cope with a surrounding community in apparent decline and a commensurate student population accompanying that. There were limited resources available for successful students to maximize their academic opportunities. The lion’s share of teachers’ and administrators...
