The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Goldsboro High School is a great school, unfortunately some people make it seems bad based on how they talk about it. I have been to GHS since my freshman and now I'm a senior, it has been a great 3 years I'm really honored to have spent them there. The students are academically successful, friendly, and we help one another. The teachers are marvelous, they will go over every single details and making sure that you understand the concept in its full content.

I like that Goldsboro High School cared about it's reputation and wanted everyone to know that they were a good school and were trying to change the narrative one step at a time. I would change some of the mindsets of the students that go to Goldsboro because they think that they have to act a certain way because of people's expectations on how the students act. I would also change the fact that the school isn't the safest and that we need more security. The school is too open to the public and it's easy to come and go when you want without anyone realizing it.

As a parent, there's nothing more satisfying than watching your child develop and flourish, both personally and acadically, and Goldsboro High School has played a key role in my child's growth journey. Our experience with the school has largely been positive, and I'd like to share some insights for...

This past week I came back to GHS to visit some of my former teachers and I found that none of the ones I really wanted to see were there any more. I took french for two years and had Mrs. Yancey, she was like a second mother to me. Whenever I didn't want to be at school or something was going on in...
