Marrington Middle School of the Arts lies on the east side of Goose Creek and serves sixth to eighth grade students. The dedicated teachers and staff strive to provide a quality public education for each student while maintaining a positive and safe learning environment. With a unique academic approach specialized in the arts, students learn new skills and gain practical knowledge while pursuing their passions.
The innovative technology program provides each student with a classroom Chromebook, allowing teachers to utilize online platforms to enhance learning. Many students participate in specialized programs like honors courses, the Student Talent Enrichment Program, lunch and learn opportunities, and more. In addition, each student will study a specific major in visual art, music, dance or theater to enhance their skills and grow their passions for fine arts.
Extracurricular clubs like the junior librarians, creative writing club, quest club and mock trial club allow students to gain leadership opportunities and additional skills, preparing them for the future. Yearly band, choral and theater performances allow parents and stakeholders to visit the school and cheer on their children. It is an up and coming school with a lot of artistic education to offer. Kids who attend this school will get some of the best education the country has to offer. With multiple national educational accolades, Marrington Middle School of the Arts is a great place to jump start your artistic career.

Admin is completely oblivious to what is actually happening in their school. There was a "fight club" last year and admin had no clue, yet parents and students from other schools did. Teachers do not comply to 504 plans. Some teachers also strive off intimidating and belittling children. The mental...

School lives off past reputation and it shows. Lack of learning/teaching across board. Teachers only assign and use chromebook vs actual teaching at board and showing/explaining. Principal promotes poor practices and morale. Would not recommend unless major changes at top.
