Westview Elementary School lies on the northwest side of Goose Creek and serves third to fifth-grade students. Since opening its doors in 1974, students have received a quality education aligning with district and state standards.
At the beginning of the year, the school sorts each student into one of four houses, providing a unique learning environment with peer mentors and supportive staff members.
As an inclusive facility, students who require additional educational resources receive specialized services from highly qualified professionals. The larger-than-average class sizes help students gain valuable social skills and leadership opportunities while obtaining a hands-on education.
In addition to core classes, students attend exploratory courses like music, art, physical education, and computer science. These subjects help students find new passions and promote creative learning.
Extracurricular opportunities like the Books Club, Girls on the Run, and Be Great Academy provide excellent leadership opportunities for students. Community events like spirit nights, food truck nights, and the annual drive-thru party offer great opportunities for parents and stakeholders to get involved in the school’s success while allowing the students to have fun with their peers.
