Fairfield is a close-knit community of parents and kids. However, sometimes this leads to a lack of inclusiveness for all students who may seem different. I've seen this happen multiple times whether it be with people of color or nonreligious people or people who aren't heterosexual. I'd like to see a more inclusive space in the future.

Overall Fairfield Jr/ Sr High school was a good school. Most of the teachers I had were very good and you could tell they really cared about the students there, whether they were in their class or not. Academics were fine, I feel that there were some things we definitely could have been taught more about, and I feel that there were things that weren't necessary to be taught that I and other students will never use in our real life.

The teacher turnover rate has been especially high since the arrival of the recent principal in 2013. Some of the best teachers have resigned because of working conditions and morale. My daughter attended New Paris Elementary School (part of the Fairfield district) for 6 years and loved it up until 4th grade. The bullying is horrible and the teachers are rude.
