Ive been a student attending Southern for a good portion of my life. Ive attended both the middle and high school I think my perspective as a African American minority attending has tinged my outlook a lot for southern both negatively and positively. The aspect of Southern that deserves the most praise is how many options students have to learn something different in so many fields. Just personally i took classes in entrepreneurship, animal science, and natrual resources that really did expand my view of what i want to do with my life and there are a lot of great classes that I wasn't able to take thats one great aspect of southern. The reason I don't think my experience with southern is a good one is because I never felt like I was allowed to belong in Southern because of my race. I don't blame any teachers I had for this I think its just Southerns culture there hasn't been a single year where I haven't been ridiculed racially this needs to change for Southern to be truly great.

Southern Alamance High School was a supportive and immersive institution for students. I think that our school did a great job in student involvement such as clubs and leadership roles. However, I also believe that they could work on providing opportunities for more extracurricular activities.

Southern is a very enjoyable school with great teachers, however, there are a LOT of students. Overall I have enjoyed my years at southern and would recommend it to anyone who likes being sociable.

This school is, located in Alamance County NC, is one of the bet schools for Highschool Education. Ignoring the appearance of children in camouflage clothing, halls are easy to navigate with over fourteen hundred students. This school is horribly overcrowded and has cut many electives (e.g., drama). The counselor with whom we worked was fantastic, but he couldn't make up for the overall dismal environment. Some of the teachers were wonderful--very excited and engaged, but others were only marking time.
