GHHS is a pretty decent high school. There are many extracurricular opportunities including arts and athletics.

Grand Haven High School has a great community of students overall. The facilities that are available to the students and community members are starting to get to the point of disrepair and it would take a lot of money to bring all the facilities up to a better condition for regular use. The teachers/ coaches are good at what they do and have a great way of teaching lessons. While giving the students the opportunity to ask questions to actually be able to understand the information that the teachers are conveying to them.

Provides lots of opportunity and resources for students. Some bias can be found in teachers and staff. Provides free lunch for low-income students as well as multiple mental health resources. I think a lot of students lack initiative to take control over their future and opportunities given to them.

In our experience with this school, we've received more pushback for our child's safety and health than I could have ever imagined. They really are all about the image of the school, and nothing more. Your kids are not their priority.

As a 2018 graduate of ghhs, I would not recommend enrolling your child here if you are looking for a healthy and comfortable learning environment. There are a vast majority of teachers who are truly amazing and care about the well being and quality of learning students receive, and they deserve that...
