Palmer School is a public elementary school located on Palmer Street Northeast in the Creston neighborhood of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Serving students in prekindergarten through fifth grade, the current student population is over 200. Palmer Elementary implements Positive Behavioral Interventions to build leadership and responsibility in its students.
As part of the Grand Rapids Public Schools system, all elementary scholars can play district sports like track and field, soccer and basketball. If they are looking to immerse themselves into additional extracurriculars, student clubs like Girls on the Run, chess club and recycling club are also offered. The school’s mascot is the H.A.W.K, an acronym for five essential character traits expected of students at Palmer School. Students must be honest, accountable, welcoming in nature, kind and safe.
Palmer School is located one block south of Briggs Park and across the street to the west of Kent Country Club. The central location of this school makes it a convenient choice for residents of the Creston neighborhood.

One of the best, if not the best elementary school in Grand Rapids. Palmer is a hidden gem for GRPS. The test scores are great and the staff is amazing!
