it wasn't a horrible high school. however, the kids there are very hit and miss. some kids are very sweet and other kids are INCREDIBLY racist, homophobic, transphobic, etc. the teachers for the most part are ok, and there are some that are amazing. strong in academics, and the resources are there if you need them. as for diversity, it is a HUGELY white-dominated school but there are pockets of BIPOC people along with LGBTQ+ people. i personally had a lukewarm experience, but many different people will tell you different things; after all, this is high school ffs. football team is horrible, but the cheerleading, volleyball, rifle, and other teams are doing pretty well

The year I started highschool, in 2021, it was still in covid times where we were seperated. All aspects were different, we didn't even go full time we had A and B days. So right there it was starting high school in an awkward time. I didnt really know who I was and only had a couple of friends at this point. As high school continues, its not really how I thought, theres no school spirit and everyone isnt on the same team. If you werent athletic and stuck up you werent included. It was hard to fit in but I tried my best to stick to myself and had one close close friend. Being a senior now, I am definately relieved to be graduating, I never really got along with the snotty kids and did not want to fake a personality to fit in. Moving on to success is all Im focused on and I am happy I am self aware of it.

Due to the school being built in the early 50's the entire high school could use some remodeling in the upcoming years.

Except for a few choice people. This school is awful. I pulled my daughter out of this now liberal leaning abomination. They even made the grading scale easier to achieve As. No thanks...home school and private school are both better options. The 9th grade principal did nothing to help my daughter....

Overall, this school district does a good job academically for students that have the initiative to want to do well and be prepared for life after high school. Those students that do not have the gumption...will fall by the wayside academically. Good academics are one good thing about this school an...

Horrible because the teachers are ineffective at teaching and the students in the school are toxic and obnoxious.

Hempfield Area Senior Highschool is the worst school. I was bullied there by football players and they never got in trouble. They ruined my highschool for me and I was held back for no reason. They teachers are awful. Do not go to this school!
