GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The school is a good school to go to for the most part, i started going to Rose my freshman year. the teachers were okay then, they gave help when needed, all you have to do is open your mouth and ask for help. the luch is gross though, it's not something I'd recommend eating but the lunch ladies are really nice. admin can be a little nick picky sometimes but once they get to know you in a good light, they don't really bother you as much unless you're doing something wrong. we have really good counselors for the most part. they make sure everything is on you school's canvas page so you can know about things and you if don't know something they're most of the time available for you to ask them. so, I'd give my school maybe an 8/10 overall.

My experience with the school was up and down as you would expect. the faculty is pretty decent some of them are the front desk lady is always nice and helpful anytime I need something the counselors are always there if you need class changes or just to take a moment and get yourself together. the lunch is average. academic Is a big part of our school as they say "where we rise to every opportunity and succeed with excellence".

over all four years that I was there I had an overall pretty good experience. My academics were top-notch. They gave you many AP opportunities and you have lots of opportunities to be a part of both sports and clubs, and you can often be a part of two sports at once which mini schools don't offer.

Horrible experience. Every couple years there is a shooting either right off campus or in the neighborhood next to the campus. Fights all the time, the security frequently pepper sprays and tazes students who cause problems, and you will get caught up in it because of how crowded everything is, and...

I am a graduate of JH Rose and both of my daughters also graduated from there in the last few years. Rose is a very challenging school that has way more AP courses than any other high school in Pitt County. The school also is one of 30 something schools public or private in all of North Carolina tha...

I'm a parent with a senior at Rose right now. I can say with 100% certainty that he is supported and challenged in his education. He came home just last night sharing excitement about his business teacher offering to help my student shape his entrepreneurial ideas. He and his teacher plan to meet re...

Rose High School has an excellent Honors/AP program. It was a exceptional high school experience for my two kids. One now has an M.D. and the other a Masters.
