The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

Greenwich Junior/Senior High School is a wonderful school to attend (For those who are committed to academics). Teachers can be tough, and sometimes give too much work, but besides that, Greenwich is a great school. I feel as though Greenwich has prepared me for college well and the environment is wonderful. There are many activities and clubs to join, and the faculty is generally very friendly.

My school is relatively small compared to nearby cities. (graduate less than 85 students each year) Regardless of size, our school was ranked 9th place overall in a study of academic success in the NY capitol region, ranking higher than much larger city and private schools.

I like that Greenwich offers very many different kinds of electives for such a small school. The staff are very open minded and like to hear feedback from their students.

Greenwich Central School is NOT a great school when it comes to knowing how to deal and educate children with learning disabilities....they punish them for their disability, and make them hate school till they drop out.
