Founded in 2005 by three women who shared the idea that school should be a place where children love to be, Aspen Academy's campus is full of innovative and inspiring learning spaces designed to engage every child.
The pre-K through eighth-grade school sits south of Denver in the Cherry Hills Village neighborhood and is home to an outdoor art studio and gallery, a performing arts center, a wetlands lab, sports courts and more. Students are encouraged to explore their passions while also selecting classes that expose them to new adventures in learning.
Aspen Academy's founders believe that learning is most impactful within a real-world context, so curriculum at all levels includes hands-on, project-based lessons. Students simulate events from history, experiment with the world around them and connect their lessons to real-world contexts.
The school's vision is to be a leader in innovative and transformative education. Through its values, Aspen Academy hopes to inspire its students, parents and educators to grow, learn and lead.

We have loved our experience at Aspen Academy thus far. I was concerned about my son switching schools but he has absolutely thrived and has come home happy since day 1. The school does a wonderful job of creating a community - it's not just a school, it's a place for families to connect in bond in their children's place of learning. While the schools diversity overall is lacking, they do an excellent job of emphasizing cultural celebrations.

Apsen Academy has been an exceptional school for our Pre-K child. I would highly recommend the school as the teachers are exceptional and are able to balance their workload and teaching styles to students needs. They have continually managed to Covid regulations and requirements. The teachers take the time to understand each of the kids in their class including their motivations and styles of learning. Our daughter comes home each day excited from what she learned. She has already has surpassed our educational expectations of Aspen and we drop her off every day knowing that she's learning important skills about what it takes to be part of a community.

Aspen Academy is a dynamic and engaging place to work. It is not only my chosen place of work, but it is a home to me as well. The community is supportive, thoughtful, and challenging in the best of ways. It is a place to truly make a difference in education.
