GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My overall experience with Griffin High School was okay. The classes that I was and am currently enrolled in have a amazing environment that keeps me focused and prepares me for college. The other distracting thing is when fights break out and the teachers have to stop class to break it up. Overall the teachers prepare us for college by giving us a reasonable deadline and holding us accountable for it. They also help me have a better understanding with an assignment if I didn't understand the directions right.

Had its ups and downs some staff was cool some staff was horrible it all depends how you make your own highschool experience.

Griffin high school is the average high school one would go to. It has the "normal" strictness and aggressiveness of students and teachers. But there are good aspects. They have good sports to offer as well as an acceptable transportation system with buses. We have opportunities to further our education while still in high school while still in highschool. Griffin needs a lot of improvement as well. We need better opportunities such as AP courses and such. As well as more dedicated and involved teachers and counselors who will convince you that continuing your education is a good idea and a better system of inspiring children to do well in academics rather than focusing on the appearance of the school to outsiders.

This is a great school with a lot of opportunities for students to get involved. The staff is diverse with teachers from all over the globe as well as teachers who went to GHS. The leadership in the school tries to make a difference.

GHS, like any school dealing with students from the varying backgrounds as does GHS, has its struggles; however, I have had the privilege to see greatest in action. The administration team are involved with being "agents of change" and the encourage the faculty and staff, and the students to become...
