I have enjoyed my experience overall. In terms of academic and extracurricular resources, it's not on par with other top schools in the area, but it's far above average. An upside of this is that among more academic circles, the culture at Guilderland is much more laid back and less competitive than these other schools.

Guilderland High School is very welcoming and the teachers help you adjust to the environment there. You have many options for clubs or any extracurricular activities you want to join. Personally, I love the academically challenging environment of the school where students are urged to perform better and are assisted in the same.

Very good school but needs to be more diverse. Winning was over shadowed by learning a team spirit on a sports team. To the point where the coach was bullying players saying that had no skills. Does not really create a team environment or an atmosphere to want to play the sports because of being to competitive.

Top-notch school. Updated curriculums moving away from older books in many classes. Great course selection and college credit opportunities. Many clubs. Too much emphasis on athletics, we wish more of those funds were spent on academics and academic oriented programs like robotics and technical clas...

They don't do anything about bullying whatsoever, they even lied about having mental health as an excuse. The staff and kids spread rumors about my child, her friends were hate crimed repeatedly. This school looks like a dream but in reality its an ugly lie. If you value your child's mental health,...

This school is absolutely fantastic if you hate doing work, but would still like to graduate with a regents degree. The key to your success is to simply not attend class and do as little work as possible during your freshman year. Provided your record looks bad enough, you'll be asked to join the FO...

This school was horrible. Most of the teachers who taught AP classes did not prepare students well for the AP tests. Too many students did drugs. Also, taking core classes was an excuse for being lazy. Core students have plenty of time to study, but they don't. Honors/AP students were arrogant, and...
