The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I moved here my senior year and I loved how welcoming everyone was. It was super easy to get transitioned into school, and the teachers I saw most days, whether I had them or not, were very nice and personable. What I didn't like though was the speed at which I was put into ACCESS classes. I took mostly online ACCESS classes my senior year and at the start of each semester there was at least one class the staff could never seem to get me into on time.

Often the teachers care so much about the students education but are not given the tools in order to offer a proper education, some often find assorted online powerpoints because of the lack of care. The school is great if you want to be a sports star but not if you want help achedemically.

The school system loves to be "fair." It "follows its policies!" Yeah right. It all depends on the student's last name, if their family has money, and if they play any "important" sports, especially fooball.

This was the worst four years of my life. If your child excels more in academic and artistic areas versus sports, PLEASE DO NOT SEND THEM HERE. I graduated in 2018 and I feel very unprepared in college. The only saving graces were the few teachers who made this school worth going to. Other than that...

I do not care for the school system. The poor test scores speak for themselves.

The education at this school is mediocre at best. There is no push for excellence. There is more of a push for athletics. There are very few teacher who do their job well.

Are you kidding? You're ability to fit in? If that is the case you and your entire family must be from Guntersville. Sucess is determined by your heritage in this school district and it begins in elementary school.
