Going to GHS is honestly a whirlwind experience, parts of the school and environment are great, and many of the staff want to see you succeed. On the other side of that though, there are also staff that could not care less about you or your fellow students. The actual school is pretty decent but we definitely experience overcrowding and populated classes which makes it uncomfortable for many students.

It's not terrible, it's just teachers don't care. Don't get me wrong some do, and we have a big druggie issue. They take up the bathrooms and then we can't use them.

Lots of things could've been changed. Most students just show up to school and act out, while there's others who genuinely want to learn.

My two daughters are now at the High School. One is a Senior and her experience has been so positive. She has started concurrent classes at UCO and is more than prepared for college level work. My freshman daughter settled right in and loves her teachers and classes.

My children have attended Guthrie public schools for 10 years. I've found the teachers to be exceptional. While my children are good students, they each have their challenges, and the teachers have always been responsive and offered creative solutions to keep them engaged. Yes, it is a small town an...
