Haines High is a great place to go to school at. The teachers are caring and considerate to their students. They are always there for you and enjoy their job very much. All your peers are nice and considerate of each other taking bullying several notches down once you arrive in high school. We are caring toward visiting teams and are always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Haines High School is definitely a good school to go to and learn at.

For the size of our school there are many after school activities. Basketball is by far the most popular at our school and region, but there is also many other sports, DDF and several music programs. We also have a very high participation rate with the large majority of students doing at least one, but usually more, different sports and activities.

There is a high student involvement rate in the sports at our school. Although it does depend on the sport, some have almost a quarter of the school involved, while other struggle to recruit the minimum number of students necessary. The amount of school spirit and performance also depend on the sport and even differ slightly from year to year.
