West Woods school was a school that had many problems but had many great things too. For example, I recommended you bring home lunch, the school lunch absolutely sucks. The academics are terrible, you don't learn long division until 6th grade. Some teachers are amazing and others are bad, I want to praise Mrs. Bell. The school does not have enough funds for all types of arts. Overall I would give the school a 2.5/5

WWS is a very diverse, well equipped and organized school.My sons attended from January 2016 till June 2017.He was very pleased with the layout of school, how classes were delegated and the "variety" of students he was exposed to, in comparison to his prior school.The fact this school caters to only k-6 versus 5-8 was incredible!!THEY HAVE MACS!!!Without "older kids", there existed a very "even keel" amongst the students and bullying or other such behavior was nonexistent. Being among peers similar in both age and like developmental stages seemed to be very helpful with focus, petty differences and easily finding comradery amongst their new school mates. The teachers and staff are EXTREMELY accommodating and truly take the time to hear parents and work with them to resolve any issues that may exist, amongst parent and parent, student and student, etc. Overall, a fantastic experience for both my son and myself.

Schools are much more than test scores or numbers, and our experience with two kids from k to 6 showed it was also a very caring and compassionate community. Our kids always looked forward to school and we found that they were well prepared for middle school.

The staff is supportive and encourages the students to succeed. We had been at West Woods from K-2nd grade.
