The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

I liked how Hanover has an excellent chemistry teachers to help the students better themselves in that class. I think Hanover should consider improving their student and teacher diversity and offer more college prep courses that will ensure the students are prepared for that next step in their future schooling.

It's a clean school that is focused on safety. The community is friendly and the administration is always helpful. However, the teachers are not always the best and the school seriously lacks in clubs.

I went to Hanover Area Jr/Sr High School until 11th grade . I was in the Hanover school district from k-11th they were the best years of my life. The teachers are amazing, hall monitors were respectful and I'll never forget my favorite nurse ever.. making friends was so easy . I'll be a Hawkeye till the day I die!!
This school isn't that bad. People just have one bad experience here and say the school is bad. News flash: every school has problems. Hanover is better than most schools around here.
Honestly, this school is the best you're going to get around here. WAY better than Meyers, GAR, Nanticoke, Wyoming Valley West, etc. As long as you pay attention and are respectful, there's no issues. Sure, some teachers aren't good but there are teachers like that everywhere.
To be honest I went here for most of my life with an exception of moving around a little, but in my opinion this school was the utter most worst one I fulfilled in going too. The teachers are one of the biggest problems, yes there are some good ones but overall they have some of the worst teachers y...

Not only that, their football team is terrible. I hate the school so much, there is excessive bullying,...
