GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I really liked how it is a small school and that teachers and other staff were always there to help. There was always a great student teacher ratio and I always felt like I could go to any teacher with confidence I would have their full attention and get the answers I needed.

Hansen High School was a wonderful place to go to school. The teachers cared about your success, and the class sizes were small enough for them to help us achieve all we set our minds to.

I came to Hansen about 4 years ago as a freshman. At first I always had the thought in the back of my head of "what if they don't accept me". I got here and I was surprised. People in the south didn't treat others near as nice as this. Everybody was saying "hi" and treating me like they would have wanted to be treated. I fit right in with everybody, but that wasn't the only great thing about this school. Since it is small the teachers are easier to get in touch with. I was able to go to any teacher at any time during school to talk to them about assignments, grades, and anything else. Teachers also kept a look at all of the students grades and kept us updated so we knew what we needed to work on. Everyone has always said that High school is not what you expect, and its not at all. I am just glad that I got to spend my High school years here because it has been a great learning situation for me.
